And the three angels I mean,
are love, happiness and contentment.

On all your ways happiness and peace shall accompany you,
this wishes your godfather for all times.

May God's blessing
may God's blessing protect him abundantly.

May happiness and peace accompany you,
we wish for all times.

May the baptized child be guided by heaven
and give him many sunny hours.

Just like the water, my wish for baptism is clear:

Two little feet move away,
two little ears that hear the word
a little creature with eyes that see,
That's creation, it makes us understand.
Two little arms, two hands on them,
that's a miracle what you can see.
We don't know what life will bring you,

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself.
They come through you, but not from you,
And though they are with you, they are not yours.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may give their bodies a house, but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit,
not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but do not try to make them like you.
For life does not run backwards, nor does it dwell in yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children are sent out as living arrows.
The archer sees the target on the path of infinity,
and He stretches you with His power so that His arrows fly fast and far.
Let your bow be aimed at joy by the hand of the archer;
For as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves the bow that is firm.

Prayer:
We brought our child to be baptized today.
Show him the way on which he can follow you.
Give us the ability to accompany him on this path.
Let this child always be surrounded by the love and affection
of his parents, godparents, grandparents and friends.
Bless and protect our child and all who love him.
